What is a football prediction game?
You predict how a match will end before it starts. After the final whistle, your prediction is compared with the actual result. The more accurate you were, the more points you receive. A leaderboard is created across multiple matches.
Daddeln evaluates everything automatically. You do not need to enter results or maintain tables manually. After registering, you can predict open matches and use the same predictions in both the global leaderboard and your private groups.
How points are calculated
Exact result
Your prediction matches exactly, for example a 2–1 prediction and a 2–1 final score.
Correct goal difference
The winner and goal difference are correct, for example a 2–0 prediction and a 3–1 final score.
Correct outcome
The winner or draw is correct, but the exact goal difference is not.
Wrong outcome
Your predicted winner or draw is incorrect.
Eligible knockout matches may also offer an advancing-team bonus. The regular prediction is based on the score after 90 minutes.
Prediction deadline and changes
At Daddeln, the prediction deadline is 15 minutes before the stored kickoff time. Until then, you can change or reset an open prediction. After that, input is locked so all participants play under the same conditions.
Play in a prediction group with friends
A private prediction group is a separate leaderboard within the overall prediction game. You create the group, share the invitation link and compete only with invited people. This is suitable for friends, family, colleagues, clubs or Discord communities.

Useful prediction-game strategies
No strategy guarantees a win. Good predictions are more likely to come from a consistent method than spontaneous gut decisions.

Assess recent matches, home and away performance, and the quality of the opponents.
Consider absences
Missing key players can have more impact than the long-term league position.
Avoid overly extreme predictions
Very high scores are rare. Realistic results increase your chance of earning outcome and goal-difference points.
